Welcome!
We know that visiting a new church can be a little overwhelming…what to wear, where to park, what about the kids…we’ve asked those same questions too. Please know we will do our best to make your experience welcoming and worry free. We look forward to meeting you!
Where to go? Our church is located at 1201 South Boston Road. To reach the church, turn at the intersection of Kent Street and South Boston Road. Parking is located adjacent the church. If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.
On your way in… Go to the front entrance. When you walk in, find one of our greeters and introduce yourself. They're stationed in the vestibule, and they'll show you where everything is. They'll help you find the nursery and Sunday school rooms if you have kids. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms. If you have any questions about the service itself, the greeters are able to provide helpful answers.
What time? On Sunday mornings, our Sunday school classes begin at 9:15 a.m. The worship service begins at 10:00 a.m. On Wednesday evenings, we have Bible study at 7 p.m.
What to wear? Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church, for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get his approval -- that comes through Jesus' sacrifice. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. While a few people in the church wear ties, others like to remind them that Jesus never wore a tie. Shorts are as welcome as suits, and you'll see both.
What’s the service like? It is our desire to create an opportunity for you to connect with God. Services begin with the singing of traditional gospel hymns. Hymnals can be found the church pews for you to follow along. The singing is followed by a message. Services usually last about one hour.
On your way out… Whether you are a visitor or a long-time member, staff will greet you in the vestibule. We would love to meet you and answer any questions you might have.
